New Trail Opens for Off Roaders

Mohave County Parks Department has opened a new off-road vehicle trail in the Hualapai Mountains.  There are hundreds of miles of trails which are mostly old fire roads.  In the past ATVs were banned from the park but the policty has now changed.  They are welcoming anyone who wants to ride ATVs, dirt bikes, or four-wheel drive vehicles.  The standard fee for day-use at the park is $5.00 per car.  More information on Hualapai Mountain Park 928-681-5700

Kingman Makes Top 100 List

Kingman Hopes to Benefit from the New Skywalk

Anticipating tourists coming to the Hualapai Reservation to see the Skywalk at Grand Canyon, the Kingman Economic and Tourism Development Commission has allocated $15,000 to try and bring those tourists to Kingman.  Kingman is the nearest point offering lodging and a variety of eateries.  The Powerhouse Tourist Information and Visitors Center has a brochure on the Skywalk.
